Regiment announce 2026-27 Opening Night roster

On Tuesday, the QMJHL’s Newfoundland Regiment announced its roster ahead of Friday’s season-opening contest against the Saint John Sea Dogs.

Fourteen forwards, seven defensemen and two goaltenders were named to the 23-man squad, including Newfoundland and Labrador’s own Ben Veitch, Quinn Norman and Damian Norris.

Fifteen players are returning from last year’s team, and a trio of CHL Import Draft picks have been added to round out the roster.

The regiment open the 2026-27 season this weekend, hosting the Saint John Sea Dogs on Friday and Saturday night.
