First place on the line on Day Seven of 2026 Brier

Team Brad Gushue was trailing Saskatchewan’s Kelly Knapp 3-2 after four ends, but bounced back with two points and never looked back as they moved to a perfect 7-0 with a 6-5 win in Draw 15 action at the 2026 Montana’s Brier at the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s on Wednesday afternoon. 

Team Gushue has now won all seven of its games thus far, tying for first place in the Brier standings with Team Canada’s Brad Jacobs (7-0) and Alberta’s Kevin Koe (6-0).

However, at least one of those teams’ undefeated streaks will end on Thursday, as Team Gushue and Team Jacobs are set to clash in Draw 17 at 2:30 p.m.

Team Alberta will have a busier day than their fellow undefeated counterparts. They will take on British Columbia at 9:30 a.m. and the Yukon at 7:30 p.m.
