HIGHLIGHTS: Regiment point streak grows to nine games with overtime loss in Victoriaville

Newfoundland’s win streak halted at eight games.

The Newfoundland Regiment held a two-goal lead heading into the third period, but Victoriaville’s Alexey Vlasov and Alexis Bourque tied the game before the end of regulation time and Enzo Lottin found the back of the net in overtime to snap the Regiment’s win streak at eight games by a score of 5-4 at the Colisee Desjardins on Sunday evening. 

Blake Pilgrim-Edwards scored a pair of goals, while Noah Laberge and Louis-Francois Belanger each added singles as the Regiment dropped their first game since February 1. 

With an assist, captain Justin Larose extended his point streak to nine games. He has recorded six goals and 10 assists for 16 points during his point streak. 

Goaltender Louis-Antoine Denault faced 41 shots between the pipes and made 36 saves. 

Through two games of their road trip, the Regiment have collected one win and one loss, and will play four more games before returning home to the Mary Brown’s Centre.

The Regiment are back in action on Wednesday, March 4 as they head to Val d’Or to take on the Foreurs.
