Regiment win streak reaches five with romp over Sea Dogs

St. John’s native Ben Veitch scores ninth goal as Regiment win streak swells to five

The Regiment got goals from Ben Veitch, Blake Pilgrim-Edwards, Justin Larose, Maddex Marmulak and Louis-Francois Belanger and Louis-Antoine Denault made 27 saves en route to a 5-1 win over the Saint John Sea Dogs at the Mary Brown’s Centre on Thursday night.

For Veitch, a St. John’s native, the goal was his ninth of the season.

The Sea Dogs’ lone goal was scored by top 2027 NHL Draft prospect Alexis Joseph, who has 21 goals and 30 assists for 51 points in 45 games in his rookie season in the QMJHL.

The Regiment have now won five straight games and haven’t lost since a 3-0 setback at the hands of the first place Moncton Wildcats on Feb. 1.
