St. John’s native Noel Moffett led the charge with 30 points, eight rebounds and five steals to lead the Newfoundland Rogues to their first win of the season, 124 to 116 over the Lake Erie Jackals on Monday afternoon.

The win is the first of the season for the Rogues, and first in team history for head coach Doug Partridge, who spent 23 years as the Head Coach of Memorial University’s women’s basketball team.

The Rogues record now stands at 1-4. The Rogues return to game action for the second game of a season-long 10-game road trip on Thursday in Sudbury.
